Commander_n00b

Under Yu Lu’s direction, the RCO will present a family concert. It’s a brand-new fun performance in cooperation with actors from Släpstick: Commander_n00b is a concert and game all in one!

Yu Lu will have to improvise, and he will interact and bring people on stage and in the hall together in following the game. The selected music comes from well-known classical music works and will include as well new compositions from three Dutch composers.

Commander N00b

Cooperation

Thomas Beijer has been commissioned to compose a short musical interlude, or bumper, inspired by the game music of Commander n00b. Beijer used Monteverdi’s Moresca, the final movement from ‘L’Orfeo’ as a basis.

Yu Lu and Thomas Beijer have met each other before when they recorded the CD “Salon” together with Camerata RCO, an ensemble featuring members of the RCO. On this CD Thomas Beijer performs Poulenc’s Aubade for piano solo and ensemble. Now he is stepping into the role of composer. The two musicians are very much looking forward to their next project together.
